Springtime Wedding In Marietta

Now is a great time to plan your spring wedding florals. This wedding was held last April and we created a mix of the bride's favorites. So fragrant! Lilacs, freesia, roses and tulips. Also in the bouquet were ranuculus, and hydrangea.

A simple garden style urn with hydrangea, roses, phlox, stock and larkspur.

A junior bridesmaid held this lovely posy. It would also be a nice size for a bouquet for the moms.

Oh how I wish this image would be bigger. Technical difficulties I guess. We complete this arch last summer at a family estate in Alpharetta. We needed all the shade we could get on that beautiful July day.

Lavender bouquets - A Wedding in St. Ives

Orchids, roses and callas. My favorite, no fail recipe for an elegant bouquet. Created on a base of light green hydrangea, this bridal bouquet has an added touch of aspidestra leaves for a tropical feel.

We created a smaller version for the bridesmaid bouquet. Deep violet lisianthus added a rich tone with the "cool waters" rose.

Can you have too much pink at a wedding? Never! Here is a lovely mix of Sophie roses, anemones, lisianthus heather and bluplureum. The tulips were just perfect for this classic compote of garden blooms.

Clusters of Vendela roses along with tulips and hydrangea from Holland. Finished with a few sprigs of lilac, this is one of my favorite spring bouquets.

Encircling a hat, these flowers were woven together and were meant to last for just a short while.

Lilac is usually available in Atlanta for a short space of time. This fragrant variety can be obtained in lavender and white.

Villa Christina Wedding Flowers

Summer colors are hot! Our latest wedding had us using mango, gold and orange colors for a spicy but elegant look. I love the way the colors pop against the bride's lovely white dress.

This bouquet is composed entirely of flame callas and LA sunset lilies with a touch of lemon leaf greenery.

These pictures were shot by the fabulous photographer Nong Cavender. She is based out of Cumming Georgia and I love just her style.

The Groom wore a calla boutonniere that had just a touch of ivy to accent it.

The girls carried a mix of orange gerbera daisies and super bright Circus roses.

Atlanta National Summer Wedding

We are always aware of the seasons when we create a design plan for wedding and party flowers. What is in season is typically more economical but it is practical for other reasons too.

For example, picking flowers that hold up in the heat of summer is always a challenge. It is much easier to choose the blooms that would be thriving in higher temperatures in the garden as they grow. Summer Dahlias are delicate but hold their own, roses are tough and stand up well out of water if properly handled as well.

An unusual element to add to your wedding would be succulents. They have great natural colors and make striking and organic designs for boutonnieres and bouquets.

Callas are a perfect choice year round for hand tied bouquets because they do so well out of water. They are available year round but they are a particularly wise choice for hot days.

A truly elegant use of sedum in a bouquet. Here we have dahlias, mini cynbidium orchids, roses and snowberries. The snowberries are available only very late in summer, closer to fall.

Pink and green are such perfect wedding colors. There are so many pink blooms that are to die for...peonies, roses, hydrangea, dahlias, ranuculus. Too many to list.

The bride chose to work gerbera daisies into her theme so we had them in each bouquet along with having them for boutonnieres. The boutonnieres we made at the last minute to keep them as fresh as possible in the heat of a June day in Atlanta.

Flower girls are just gorgeous. Every one we have ever seen! Pomanders are really nice alternatives to traditional baskets. They can be a little too tempting to swing around, so be sure and give them to the younger children just before they walk down that aisle!

Getting married at a country club is always an elegant affair. The views of the course, the lovely ballrooms and the impecable service make this an easy choice for so many brides

Windemere Golf Club is in Cumming Georgia and they were wonderful to work with. We set up an arbor in the tent that would shield guests from the summer sun.

The color red was the unifying theme for our floral scape. Red roses in every shade for the bouquets, red orchids and gerbera daisies on the asian inspired bamboo centerpieces and red plums accenting the floral wreaths on some of the tables.
